SECURING THE MAGE ASUNDER

This section of the Fade is populated with various groups of mages, Chantry priests and golems. Careful use of Spirit and Burning Man forms should see you through the various encounters. The Burning Man will allow you to walk through the fire barriers on the other side of some doors, and the Fireball knock-down effect can be quite handy. Be wary of the mage opponents' frost-based attacks, which the Burning Man form has a reduced resistance to. In addition, golems are strong melee fighters with melee and ranged knock-down effects.

When arriving in the first room, enter the mouse hole directly to your left (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, MA). This leads to a Font of Strength and the Codex entry: Hierarchy of the Circle. Now return to the first room.

You can take the second mouse hole (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, MB) to the next room, but there are two mages there. If you want to kill them quickly change to Burning Man form and drop a fire ball on them. After that might only have to take a few more hits to kill them.

The next room is (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 3), once you kill the mages in there switch to your Spirit form in order to get the Essence Font of Magic along with another Codex for the History of the Circle

The room next to (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 3), be careful as it's full of crazy mages. We advise you let them kill each other off before going in there to finish them off.

Room (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 4) we advise to quickly switch from the Burning Man form to your Spirit form, as frost and the prison kill off the lesser rage demons really well. Then once the battle is done switch back to the Burning Man to be able to go through the next door.

(The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 5) careful going into this room as there is a few mages. They do stop targeting each other to hit you, so try to get them out as quickly as possible.

(The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 6) There is a group of mages that you can easily take out with a Fire ball, and then finish them off. To the right of the stairs is the Codex The Cardinal Rules of Magic and to the left of the stairs The Tranquil, now just head up the stairs to the next area

(The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 7) Once you've arrived at a new area, start using the fireballs to defeat all enemies seen near your character, including powerful golems. Prevent the enemies from getting too close and avoid boulders being thrown at you by the golems.

Defeating all the monsters in this room will allow you to talk to the cursed dreamer (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 7) and he'll teach you how to transform yourself into a golem. I would strongly recommend testing this new power right away. Use the stairs (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 8) to reach a new area of the map and begin by attacking enemy units. Don't forget to use some of the golem's skills, including the skill which tells it to smash the ground. Most of the attacks will be effective against larger groups of weaker beings, so you should always engage them in combat as soon as possible.

To the left of the entry way for (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 9) you will see a Codex and receive The Four Schools of Magic: Spirit and then to the right further down the room you shall see a Note which contains the Codex The Harrowing

After you've gotten everything approach a massive door (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 9) and destroy it with one of golem's attacks to unlock a new passageway.

Proceed forward and take a right towards the room (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 10) you will fight two golems and a priest, once you dispatched them. Turn into your Ghost form to get the Essence Font of Willpower and to the right of the door is a Codex for The Four Schools of Magic: Primal

If you backtrack towards (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 11) you'll be able to get another Codex entry for The Four Schools of Magic: Creation

Move straight on down to (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 12) where you will find a Codex to the left upon entry for The Four Schools of Magic: Entropy and an Essence Font of Strength at the back of the room

(The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 13) is another massive door you need to break down in your Golem form

(The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 14) upon entering is two Arcane Horrors, their easily dispatch in the Golem form, as they're weak to brute strength. Then change into your Spirit Form to go through the door, which takes you to (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 15) where you only need to defeat one stone golem. There is an Essence of Dexterity in there along with a mouse hole (MC) that takes you to (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 16) where in the first room is two golems, and once defeated you can grab the Essence of Cunning and in order to get into the attached room you need to break down another Massive door (GB). In the second room to the left is an Essence of Constitution and to the right is an Essence of Dexterity. Then go back to (MC) to return to The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 15) where you will then have to change into Spirit form to return to (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 14)

Now head into (The Circle Tower Mage Asunder M, 17) to meet the main boss - Slavren. You can keep playing as a golem during this boss battle. Your enemy will die quickly as long as you remember to use all of golem's special attacks. Once it's safe again use the pedestal to get out of here. Now before going onto The Nightmares. I would recommend finishing off The Darkspawn Invasion and The Burning Tower first, as the The Nightmares is the hardest part. You would want to go back to the rest of the areas to get through any massive door (GB) to get extra items or the essence behind those doors.
